How to connect your slack account when your RevvedUp email address doesn't match your email address in Slack

Your organization has slack connected already but you aren't receiving notifications on the correct user in slack. You might have even received a message that looks like this: 


"We could not find a Slack user that matches the user's email address in RevvedUp. Please either update the email addresses so they are matching or have the user follow the instructions under Settings -> User Profile to update their Slack ID.


We're going to tackle the second part of this message, which is where we address the information on your User Profile Settings to resolve this issue. 


1. Open up your slack account where you have installed the RevvedUp app. 


2. Click on your name in any chat box to open up your profile to the right


3. Click on the 3 vertical dots and then select Copy member ID



4. Log into your RevvedUp account at app.revvedup.ai.


5. Go to Settings → User Profile.


6. Enter in the copied slack member ID into the Slack User ID field.

7. Click the "Update" button to save your entered information
